Hello to all my dear students of Morning Star Academy. This is your new headmaster, Rhydon, speaking. I have some very fun and exciting updates in regards to the relaunch of The Caster Chronicles on June 18th 2026.

As you can see, our friend “Play Nice” is still not allowed at school. However, there’s some changes that I want to make note of.
First off, you will note that the text on this image IS NOT the same as the original printing. That is because this is the errata version of the card that we will be releasing as part of the launch line up in June.
You will also note the Speedrobo Games logo at the bottom of the card. All new card printings will feature this logo. This way players and fans can quickly and easily identify which cards are old prints and which are new prints.
Secondly, you’ll note that “Play Nice” is ONLY suspended in Alumni Format. So, what’s Alumni Format?
When The Caster Chronicles English Edition launches in June, there will be two formats to play and enjoy.
Standard Format: Only cards that have the Speedrobo Games logo on the bottom are legal to play. In other words, only cards that are freshly released as part of this reboot will be legal to play. If you have an old edition of a card that is part of Standard format, you may use it. However, please have a new copy of the card on hand to demonstrate to the other players what the changes (if any) between formats are. Thank you!
Alumni Format: All cards from all printings are legal! Play with all of your old cards to your heart’s content! If a card is changed between the old printing and the new printing, the text on the card takes priority (unless a specific errata is issued for Alumni format as well). This means that two different versions of cards with the same name may exist! You can only play a total of 4 copies of a card name in your deck.
QUESTION TIME!
Q: You keep saying “relaunch” and “reboot”, does this mean that everything that I know and love about Caster Chronicles is changing?
A: A very fair concern. I want to assure everyone right now that VERY little will be changing about the game. I am a huge fan of Caster Chronicles and that’s why I’m here and why I am having my company do what it is doing. This will still be the Caster Chronicles that you love, just with some small tweaks, extra polish in certain areas, new product types, and serving as a fresh jumping in point for new fans. The game has been gone from English audiences for so long and prices of old product is so high, that we really have no choice but to treat this as a fresh start for the brand. Thank you for your kind understanding. I will be sharing more on specifically what these small changes will be over the coming months.
Q: Will you be supporting both formats?
A: Yes. We will be running events, tournaments, and have specific prizes for both formats of play.
